Xicheng Wang

I am a PhD student in the Division of Nuclear Science and Engineering, Department of Physics. MSc in Nuclear Energy Engineering at Tsinghua Unversity, China; and KTH, Sweden (dual master program).

The general subject of my research is the computation of fluid dynamics and heat transfer using both high-resolution (CFD) and low-resolution (system-level) codes to analyze thermal-hydraulic phenomena of safety-related issues for nuclear reactors. Development of models and methodologies to address safety concerns in both current and next-generation reactors is the primary focus of my research. Since 2022, I have also been exploring the application of machine learning techniques in nuclear engineering.
