Yunus Can Bilge

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing (TMH) at KTH, working with Prof. Jonas Beskow. My research focuses on multimodal machine learning for human communication and interaction, with particular interests in sign language processing, multimodal foundation models, and data-efficient learning.

I am interested in developing generalizable methods that integrate language, vision, audio, and motion to better model human communication. More broadly, my work spans representation learning, low-resource learning, and socially intelligent AI. Beyond my research, I am fascinated by the diversity of human communication and enjoy learning new ways people express meaning, from spoken and signed languages to everyday gestures and nonverbal cues.
