Yuting Chen

I am a PhD student of EECS, KTH and my mentors are Madeline Balaam and Georgios Andrikopoulos. I have spent many years studying mechanical engineering and have acquired both undergraduate and master's degrees in this discipline. And, I am presently participating in Madeline's Intimate Contact project, in which we will investigate how to establish contact between technology and the body, as well as how to analyze and foster intimate interactions between humans and technology. This is a study topic that is completely different from the field of engineering that I have previously been exposed to, yet it is undeniably original, engaging, and important: Technology may alter people's perceptions of themselves and the environment, researching this mechanism may provide designers with an indicator and direction for creating pleasant equipment.
