About me

I am an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Neuronic Engineering at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems. I received my Ph.D. degree from KTH in 2019 focusing on biofidelity validation of computational head model. Afterwards, I did my postdoc training at Stanford University in the US, focusing on sports safety via concussion prevention in footballs.

Research interests

My research aims to improve brain health by accurately determining the onset (Prediction), substantially reduce the severity (Protection), and effectively avoid the occurrence (Prevention) of brain trauma by means of developing accurate and efficient tools, algorithms, and solutions.

My research is supported by the innovation agency VINNOVA, Swedish Research Council, Carl Trygger Foundation, Torvald and Britta Gahlin's foundation, Skyltfonden from Traffic Safety, etc. I also participated in an Marie Sklodowska-Curie ITN: InSilicoHealth. I received the Göran Gustafsson Prize for young researchers in 2025.

Research field

in silico modeling, in vivo imaging, in situ experiments, solid and fluid mechanics, machine learning, nonlinear finite element modeling, safety standardization (eg, helmet) via physical and virtual testing.

Open position

I am currently looking for a Postdoc working on rat neurotrauma modeling. Please email me with the subject "Postdoc-Name" and attach the following information: your CV, representative publications, and motivation letter.
