At KTH Prototype Center we can make it happen. Students and employees at the Department of Engineering Design can access the prototype center to make prototypes. We can also help with the manufacturing of your prototype.

For MMK employees

Are you working at the Department of Engineering Design (MMK) and want your students to make prototypes? Or do you need a prototype yourself? Follow the instructions below:

How to give your students access?

Engineering design students can use the prototype center to create their own prototypes in specific courses. Here is the procedure:

  1. Download an Excel-file (which you find in step 4) to fill in student information; name, social security number, KTH-email and the end date of the course or end of the semester
  2. Name the Excel-file according to the course and current semester i.e. "MF1061_Autumn25".
  3. Email the Excel-file to service@itm.kth.se. Enter "Access ITM MMK" in the subject field. Write "The following students need access to KTH Prototype Center" in your email.
  4. Download Excel-file (xlsx 16 kB) . 

How to create your prototype?

Do you want to access our equipment or want our assistance to create a prototype. Please contact us on prototype@kth.se and we will assist you.

For other KTH employees

Are you a KTH employee working elsewhere than the Department of Engineering Design and in need of manufacturing?

Our assistants can help you make a prototype for a fee. Contact us for availability and cost estimation.
