Students at the Department of Engineering Design can access the Prototype Center to make prototypes on their own.
How to gain access
Only teachers responsible for a course can apply for student access. Please contact your teacher if you want to use the prototype center equipment.
Your teacher need to add you to a safety course in Canvas. Once that is done, please proceed with following the steps.
- Accept the invitation to "Prototype Safety course (...)" and read the instructions on the starting page.
- Complete all Canvas modules.
- Schedule the practical safety overview according to the instructions in the last Canvas module.
- Attend the practical safety overview. Don't forget to bring the signed safety regulations. (kolla denna)
- Wait for the access to be activated (up to 5 business days).
If all of the steps above are fullfilled but you still haven't got access, please contact us on prototype@kth.se.
A completed safety course is valid for 6 years.
