Before the course starts

Limited numer of places This course can only accept a limited number of students due to hardware and space limitations It is very clearly written in the course informationhttp://www.kth.se/student/kurser/kurs/DD2425?l=en_UKthat there is a limitation but unfortunately people do not seem to care about this and it creates huge problems. You have to apply for the course on time and you will be admitted in competition with other students.

There does not seem to be any way to stop people from signing up despite the limited number of places but if your coordinator or you yourself add you to the course without getting an approval from the person responsible from the course you will most likely not be able to take the course.

Admission Admission to the course happens in two rounds. For each round, a ranking is made among the candidates and the top candidates are admitted and he you compete for a seat with the other applicants.¶
* Round1The top candidates from the list of students that applied for the course via antagning.se are chosen. Typically around 25. At this point only students that are already at KTH would typically be able to apply so it would exclude all exchange students.
* Round2Some time close to the seamiest, typically August, a second round of admission is made where all reserves from the first round, all exchange students (that have contacted the course responsible directly or via a coordinator) and any additional student that have contacted the course responsible compete for the last seats in the course.
