Interference statistics in Cellular Radio Systems

  • In Lab 2, students will get acquainted with a MATLAB-based network simulator called RUNE, which they will use to analyze blocking and interference statistics in a cellular network.
  • Lab 2 will help students in developing skills to perform simulations to answer complex problems which would be impractical to solve analytically, and also in developing a better understanding of the fundamental tradeoff between coverage and capacity which exists in wireless networks.
