Most are close to KTH (walking distance) with reasonable to good prices and good kitchen.
- Tradition, traditional Swedish kitchen, highly ranked, affordable
- Oaxen slip, budget bistro at Oaxen (one of the best restaurants in town)
- Lilla Ego, talk-of the town, most in place at the moment; great food, reasonable prices; music by Kent (warning)
- Bon bon, non-traditional establishment: serves only taster portions
- Farang, novelle Asian (Finnish establishment)
- Motwalls, mostly Swedish, good business lunch (alternative to Syster o Bror)
- Oljebaren, olive oil is key ingredient; relaxed and informal
- Sven-Harrys, in the art museum next to Vasaparken. Busy and good
- Proviant. Swedish-French, bordering on being pricey
- Chez Betty, best French bistro in town
- Nalen restaurang, tried and true with good-valued menue
- Restaurang Tranan, traditional bistro type restaurant at Odenplan
- Köttbaren, excellent meat, simple and informal; no reservations
- Griffins' steakhouse, great restaurant for grilled meat and fish, excellent starters
- Queen's head, great gastro-pub, reasonable prices
- Man in the moon, like the above but much louder
- Pubologi, another gastro-pub; among the best; in Old Town
- The Flying Elk, yet another gastro-pub; probably the best; in Old Town
- Pharmarium, pharmacy inspired restarant and bar; for the different experience; Old Town
