Academization of soft landings concept

“Soft Landings” concept, which is recognized as a complete process that encompasses all the different and interdependent stages of construction projects, has not evolved outside UK where it has been invented early last decade. The UK government has recently introduced “Government Soft Landings” policy and mandated every public construction project to implement this concept from 2016. Though this concept is not yet fully appreciated by the private construction sector and outside UK, it could be argued that academization and extended research of the soft landings concept will not only assist better understanding of the concept but it will also expedite its application in the Swedish construction sector. The focus of this docent lecture will be how academization of the soft landings is important and how different actors in the construction industry can contribute the advancement of this concept.
