Key Contacts in Japan
"I first arrived in Japan back in 1996, as a PhD student at Tokyo University. After that, I worked a few years as an engineer in heavy machinery, but felt that the rather harsh Japanese company culture was not working well for a Scandinavian like myself. Hence, I moved back to Sweden.
However, the pull to return to Japan was too great, and after a few years I landed a job as an IT manager at the same company.
As a manager, I have tried to change the working environment by applying a few good Scandinavian practices, resulting in healthy and innovative staff.
With many years in the IT industry here in Japan, I have gained expertise in how to lead coorporations create flexible and scalable IT organizations, with special focus on software development.
My specialties include management consulting in building innovative high-performance teams, outsourcing, cross-cultural relations. project portfolio management, talent development and coaching in agile practices."
