KTH Tanzania Alumni Chapter

The group met for the first time early in 2013 and has since them worked to gather alumni in the area for networking activities.

When KTH-staff visited different project in Tanzania in February 2013, the first alumni event was held which made the start of a new chapter. Read more about the event here. The group organizes informal meetings and make up for a network for KTH-related people in the region.

Africa J Bwamkuu

Africa is the owner of the company Window 2 Africaa, a consulting firm based in Amsterdam. He is also a business associate of the Royal Tropical Institute  in the Netherlands and business development advisor of NextGen Technologies Limited based in Dar es salaam, Tanzania and he serves as Board president of African Digital Library Support Network. He is KTH graduate class of ICT Entrepreneurship and his area of expertise is ICT for development, Digital libraries, project management and business development. Africa´s LinkedIn profile.

Lugano Wilson

Lugano is a Senior Research and Development Engineer and Head of Energy Technologies Division with Tanzania Industrial Research and Development Organization (TIRDO).  While with TIRDO in a period of over 20 years, he has supervised and implemented a variety of energy research projects. He holds a degree of Licentiate of Philosophy in Engineering from KTH and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Energy Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam Tanzania. As a result of his professional work, Dr. Lugano has produced over 60 papers and technical writings. Lugano´s LinkedIn profile.
