It’s Christmas Time on KTH Blog!

Hello everybody and welcome to this new post! First of all, I’d like to wish you all happy holidays and a happy new year! Hope you are spending it with the people you love, having the best time 😊. In this festive period, KTH channels have slowed down a bit – but don’t worry, we’ll be back on track as soon as possible to guide you through the last steps of your KTH application!

Christmas Time in Stockholm

Recently, we have been posting a lot about Christmas in Stockholm, so I will be brief: Christmas here is just amazing! I have decided to come back home to visit my family during this time, but I got to enjoy the amazing Christmas lights before flying back to Italy. It is really awesome to see how welcoming the city becomes in December! Regardless of the Winter darkness, lights shine everywhere and wherever you go you find Christmas decorations and cosy corners. Plus, the snow makes everything unforgettable!

The Best Time to Meet with Friends

Christmas is that beautiful time of the year when you get to meet and catch up with most of your friends. Be it for a fika or a city stroll, it is the perfect occasion to spend some quality time with your dearest ones. We KTH Ambassadors have had a big dinner together in a cosy restaurant south of Stockholm, where we got to play “boule” together and have a French-style dinner. I did not manage to join the boule game, but those who did said it was rather fun and definitely not easy! Aside from that – the food was amazing 😏

New Year Resolutions

Starting from the next couple of days, be ready to read more posts about the application and KTH as a place to be. The second part of KTH application FAQs is coming, as well as a variety of posts on how it is like to study at KTH on a daily basis, and how it is to write your thesis at KTH – be it in academia or in collaboration with a company. During the second semester, we’ll focus a lot on what makes KTH unique, how to find housing in Stockholm, and how to look for part-time jobs to help you during your studies. And who knows, maybe you’ll get to see us a little bit more on Instagram as well 😉. An exciting new year awaits us, and we’ll be happy to carry you all with us in our KTH journey!

Don’t forget to check out Sam’s last post on Armada cruise and Sai’s post on the Nobel Week – it will help you to get a glimpse of what it means to spend December in Stockholm!

Happy holidays, I’ll see you in the next post!
