About us
The Department of Electromagnetics and Plasma Physics (EMP) is one of fourteen departments at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the Royal Institute of Technology.
The department origins from two mergers:
2023 by the merger of the Division of Electromagnetic Engineering (EME) and the Division of Fusion Plasma Physics (FPP), creating the Division of Electromagnetic Engineering and Fusion Science (EMF).
2026 by the merger of the Division of Space and Plasma Physics (SPP) and the Division of Electromagnetic Engineering and Fusion Science (EMF), creating the Department of Electromagnetics and Plasma Physics (EMP).
