The presentation overviews the process of the development and design of deployable boom for an Langmuir Probe instrument. First exploring different concepts for hinges and components. Further closely examine the different concepts and conducting a trade-off to select the best design in regards to the elaborated criteria. The examination includes testing, analysis and simulations. A prototype of the obtained design is manufactured to test the fundamental deployment mechanism.
