Introduction to the Swedish language
This credit-free course aims to give the students basic, “survival” skills in the Swedish language as well as a some introduction to the Swedish society.
Course design
The course is offered every autumn semester (period 1 and 2). Participation is free of charge and the course does not give grades or academic credits.
The course consists of nine on-site lectures complemented by self-study using online materials.
Participation is not compulsory and does not lead to any certificate.
The number of places is limited to 450 participants.
Application
The application is open from August 20 until 450 responses have been registered but no later than September 3. Please, apply only once.
An invitation to the course in Canvas will be sent on September 4.
Schedule
Mondays, 17:00-19:00 at the main KTH campus
First lecture: September 7 in F1
Last lecture: November 16 in E1
After this course
Fee-paying Master's students who have finished the introduction course are eligible for the next course, Swedish for advanced beginners . During their third semester at KTH, these students may continue with the third course, Professional Swedish .
