Vernissage: Students aiming for the stars – Rocketry engineering with ÆSIR
Space is often called "the final frontier" – the ultimate expression of human exploration. The student union ÆSIR represents the first practical jump young engineers at KTH can take on the road towards that ultimate goal. Welcome to ÆSIR's vernissage at KTH Library on 27 October 2025.

In this exhibition, ÆSIR (Association of Engineering Students in Rocketry) showcase their largest and most demanding project yet, the Mjollnir rocket. 4.5 meters long with its sights set on 10,000 meters' altitude, Mjollnir is slated for launch in the summer of 2026 from the Esrange spaceport in Kiruna, pending funding. To celebrate this, Mjollnir will be on display at this exhibition, fully assembled, together with earlier projects that show the evolution of ÆSIR's practice of the engineering arts.
ÆSIR has, since 2016, been a home for all of the future engineers at KTH with dreams of rockets and the roads to space. ÆSIR gives students the opportunity to apply the theory they learn in this school's hallowed halls on a practical effort in large, demanding projects.
