Real Estate Business and Financial Systems

The Division of Real Estate and Financial Systems studies real estate and the financial system from a business economic perspective and with business management methods.

The division conducts research and teaching on real estate, inter alia linked to entrepreneurship, market analysis, sustainability based on the environment, economy and social focus, property management, urban and regional development, and organization. Today, the real estate market is closely interwoven with the financial sector. At the division, this connection is studied, especially in the light of the digitizing process the society is undergoing. The various players in the financial system and the way they interact with the enterprise thus become important.

The division is responsible for a number of courses within the two bachelor's programs and the master's program at the department, as well as a number of courses at doctoral level. A number of these courses are highly specialized and unique in Sweden. The course offerings include real estate economics courses such as property management and real estate market analysis, business economics courses in organization, marketing, credit assessment, financial reporting, real estate brokerage and taxation, as well as a number of courses in entrepreneurship and its financing.

The Division of Real Estate and Financial Systems and the Division of Real Estate Economics and Finance together constitute one of the world's largest real estate economic environments in terms of degrees from undergraduate to postgraduate education.
