Energy Platform collaborates with VA Public & Science on an energy booklet

The KTH Energy Platform is collaborating with the public science organization Vetenskap & Allmänhet (VA), in order to explain energy research and challenges to a larger audience. At present a booklet is prepared on energy – targeted for the general public – and KTH researchers are invited to participate.
The objective of the energy booklet is to select several challenges that we are facing and explain the situation and solutions, or absence of solutions. These challenges could be phrased as “hot topics” that will help citizens and journalists to better understand the transition.

“We focus on facts, figures and scientific questions presented in such a way that they create interest and attract readers. Of course, we hope to have all KTH schools represented and researchers from different disciplines collaborating on the text – it is a common effort!” says Christophe Duwig, Deputy Director of the KTH Energy Platform.
For each topic, the booklet will target five to ten pages (A5 including illustrations) composed and written by a team consisting of two to three KTH researchers. A professional writer and an illustrator will give support during the editorial process.
The work will be performed during the fall of 2021 and the goal is to have a complete draft ready by the very early 2022.
