Arrival and introduction autumn 2023
As a new international student at KTH, you are offered arrival services and an introduction programme with both social and informative activities. Taking part in the Arrival days on 19 and 20 August and the international reception is a way for you to become familiar with KTH. You can also take part in some services starting on 1 August, such as a key pick-up day and activities within the THS International Reception.

Arrival days, 19 and 20 August

If you are unable to arrive during the Arrival days, you are welcome to KTH Entré to pick up your accommodation keys, activate your KTH account, and receive your access card, during our opening hours . However, make sure that you have arrived at KTH in time for your mandatory school introduction.
Arrival day services at Arlanda Airport
If you arrive at Arlanda Airport during Arrival days, our student guides will be there to welcome you. They are expecting your arrival and will happily answer any questions you might have and assist you during the last stretch of your journey.
During Arrival days we offer a free bus transfer service to KTH Campus from Arlanda Airport, which will take approximately 45–60 minutes.

Activities, courses and key pick-up in early August
If you arrive before Arrival days, you are welcome to take part in other activities offered in connection with the start of your studies at KTH.
Key pick-up day on 1 August
KTH offers a key pick-up day for students that have housing contracts with KTH Accommodation starting 1 August. KTH Entré will extend its opening hours until 18.00, and the keys will be ready to be picked up from 12.00. Pre-sessional language courses
THS International Reception
The student union THS is kicking off its international reception with activities from 1 August. The reception is a great way to get in touch with other students, and a good introduction to Stockholm. All activities are optional and arranged from early morning to late night, lasting until September.
A sustainable arrival
As sustainability is one of KTH's pillars, we encourage new students to consider their carbon footprint related to their travels to Stockholm and KTH. If you arrive by train, Stockholm Central Station is located in the middle of central Stockholm, and the metro takes you to KTH in just 6 minutes. You can plan your trip with Stockholm's local transport, SL .
The KTH student-led group Klimatstudenterna (the Climate Students) has prepared the KTH Climate Students Travel Guide (pdf 3.6 MB) to help students plan their travel to KTH in a more sustainable way.
