Congratulations on your admission to KTH! Exciting times await you, and we look forward to meeting you on campus. It's now time to start preparing your move to Stockholm. To help you out, we've put together the most important steps to take.
Prepare your KTH Arrival
This webinar will guide you through key details about Arrival Days, important events, THS (the student union) activities, and everything else you need to know to plan your arrival to KTH in August.
Your admission result will be published in your account at
University Admissions
on 26 March. Here you will also find an
explanation of the different admission results
. If admitted, non-EU students should pay their first tuition fee, apply for a residence permit, and arrange housing through KTH Housing. EU and Swedish students can instead begin searching for housing independently. If you need support, we also offer webinars and events to guide you through the key steps on your journey to KTH.
Find housing
It's time for you to start looking for a place to stay. Some student groups are guaranteed housing through KTH Housing, while others need to
find housing on their own
.
Through our digital and in-person events, and our community on the Goin app, you can meet other students, get hands-on support, and dive deeper into the guides on our website.
From 3 August until the start of studies on 24 August, visit KTH Entré to activate your KTH account and gain access to KTH's digital and physical infrastructure. We recommend arriving on one of our official
Arrival Days
, when additional services and exceptional vibes await. If you're enrolled in a pre-sessional language course, aim to arrive on 3 August, otherwise, 15 or 16 August are your ideal dates. This gives you time to settle in and enjoy the optional introduction activities before studies begin. If you are studying the bachelor's programme you need to arrive on time to attend the mandatory roll-call on 10 August.
Arrival Days give you the smoothest start
We offer official Arrival days on 3, 15 and 16 August. During these days, we'll offer free shuttle service from the airport and help you get settled on campus.
Each year, we invite our new students to attend a Welcome ceremony at Stockholm City Hall, best known as the banquet hall for the annual Nobel Banquet.
Join the fair on 20 August to discover all the amazing opportunities the student union has to offer: from sports clubs to performance, tech, science, community-focused associations, and more!
You have finally activated your KTH account and are now starting your studies at KTH. Your first important step as a new student is to
register for your courses
. You must register in order to access the course in KTH's learning platform Canvas, register for exams, and have your results reported. So do not miss it!
If you have been admitted to a programme or a course but cannot begin your studies, you can apply for deferment. Admitted students may be granted deferment of the start of their studies if there are specific grounds. The majority of courses and programmes at KTH start once a year. Deferment of studies is therefore normally granted for one year.
