Note: The university has two colleges open for KTH students: The College of Engineering and the College of Science. Which college you can study at depends on your KTH programme. Contact your international coordinator for guidance.
The number of courses at master's level for exchange students is limited. Even if you study at master's level at KTH, you need to mainly choose courses at bachelor's level at CityU. Three out of five courses must be taken at the college you apply to; the rest may be taken at other faculties. The campus is centrally located in Hong Kong, and it can be difficult to find accommodation on campus. An application and visa fee is required at all universities in Hong Kong.

- College of Engineering: 6 semester spots per academic year. These places are in general available for students at ABE, EECS and ITM, and some programmes at CBH.
- College of Science: 2 semester spots per academic year. These places are in general available for students at SCI, and some programmes at CBH.

Exchange availability:
- College of Engineering: High competition for exchange places. Students often need a GPA of 4.3 or higher to have a chance of getting a semester place.
- College of Science: Less competition for exchange places. The university usually has semester places left after the selection rounds.
