USI is a public university founded in 1995 with campus in Lugano, Mendrisio and Bellinzona. The faculty of Architecture, L' Accademia di architettura, is located in the small town of Mendrisio in the middle of the Swiss Alps, an hour north of Milan.

Exchange opportunities

Number of spots: Architecture: 2 year spots or 4 semester spots. EECS: 2 semester spots
Grade requirements: It is mandatory for architecture students that applies for exchange studies to submit a portfolio. The quality of the portfolio is evaluated by a jury that consist of the Programme Directors and a team of teachers at the School of Architecture. By reviewing the portfolio, the jury assesses whether the applicant can be considered to be nominated for an exchange spot.
