About us
IS has 300 employees and is organised into five divisions: Decision and Control Systems (DCS); Information Science and Engineering (ISE); Micro and Nanosystems (MST); Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL); and Speech, Music and Hearing (TMH).
Our research activities range from basic and theoretical to applications in autonomous systems, robotics, AI and machine learning, media processing, sensors, micro and nanosystems, and communications. Our education follows the general research program, with courses in control, robotics, machine learning, media processing, signal processing and information theory.
