THE LINDEKA is made by Jacob von Heland and Henrik Ernstson in collaboration with Anita Mkizwana and Philisiwe Twinjstra in eThekwini-Durban, South Africa and engages the environmental crisis through the active remains of colonization. The film has been selected and will have its world premiere at this year's festival for the Society of Visual Anthropology in Toronto, and in celebration, we welcome you to this “sneak premiere.”

The film screening starts at 18:00 sharp at the art exhibition space Accelerator at Stockholm University, Frescativägen 26A, subway station “Universitetet.”

After the film, a conversation will be moderated with the filmmakers by Adam Wickberg acting director of KTH Environmental Humanities Laboratory, together with Madina Tlostanova, professor in postcolonial feminism at Linköping University and Cecilia Järdemar, senior lecturer in photography and the moving image at Konstfack.

We will offer wraps for free and drinks can be purchased in Accelerator's bar. Warmly welcome to an evening to watch film and discuss matters related to cinematic humanities, South African urbanism, and (de)colonial Anthropocene history.
