About me

Ania Öst (fd. Zdunek), Architect MSA, is currently a teacher in the Master's programme in Architecture.

Previously, Ania has worked as a researcher and teacher at TU-Graz Institute for Architecture and Landscape in Austria. Her interests are focused on theory and application of projects that integrate architecture, landscape and urbanism, where the social, natural and technical processes are integrated in the design. She sees transdisciplinary collaborations as an important part of the design process, where, depending on the project‘s context, experts in specific areas are consulted and local actors addressed to ensure a holistic approach to the task at hand. Fundamental to this approach is a relevant analysis as the basis for the development of a strong concept. This approach can be applied to projects of different topics and scale where the goal is to build upon specific conditions, and through innovative solutions, reach sustainability and global relevance.

Ania has been an invited speaker and her work has been published and exhibited. She has collaborated at international workshops and organised symposiums as well as been an invited guest opponent on several occasions.
