About me

Anna Delin is full professor at KTH since 2011. She leads a research group focussing on magnetic and quantum phenomena in materials, and she is currently also deputy head of the school of engineering sciences (SCI).

Anna received her PhD in condensed matter physics from Uppsala University in 1998. In 1999, she was awarded Naturvetarpriset for best Swedish doctoral thesis in physics. She has been a visiting researcher at ICTP in Trieste, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the Fritz Haber Institute in Berlin. In 2007, she was awarded a research fellow position from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In 2018, she was awarded the Thuréus Prize for "significant contributions to the theory of nanomagnetism".

Anna has broad experience from a number of commissions of trust and leadership roles within KTH (e.g., member of the faculty council, member of the employment committee, member of SeRC management group, director of the materials platform, chair of the SCI recruitment committee, chair of the SCI docent committee, chair of the Göran Gustafsson KTH/UU Prize committee, SKC board member, acting head of school) and outside KTH (e.g., board member of SNIC, board member of the Göran Gustafsson KTH/UU foundation, chair of the experimental sciences and mathematics panel for the ICREA Academia Prize, evaluator for Vetenskapsrådet and EU  -- FET Open, ERC StG, M-ERA.NET).
