About me
See the network below? This is how I see systems. Yes, to me, systems are complex networks and fascinating puzzles because of their dynamic and evolving nature. Their components are constantly changing and continuously influencing one another. At one moment, a component may have significant power; the next, that influence may vanish. You never know which component, or which part of the system, might suddenly affect the rest. This is exactly why I enjoy developing network-agnostic computational approaches to tackle complex problems.
Reflecting on how I see systems, my research interests include machine learning and AI, graph theory, complex networks, and game simulations. I am interested in understanding the capabilities and limitations of algorithms and models, as well as the structure and dynamics of the underlying systems, to develop alternative models and algorithms for tackling complex problems. On that note, as a postdoctoral researcher, I combine these interests to develop and improve representation learning approaches for AI systems.
Travelling back in time, before becoming a postdoc, I was a senior lecturer at Stockholm University. Before that, I was a PhD student at KTH, during which I also started guest lecturing at Karlstad University, something I still do from time to time. And further back, I spent almost a decade working as a software developer in various IT industries and sometimes as an indie game and AR/VR developer.
