I am Emmanuel Agyekum, a dedicated researcher passionate about green engineering and sustainability. Currently, I am part of the "Green Steel for a Fossil-free Future" initiative at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, School of Industrial Engineering and Management; Unit of Processes at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. This project aims to revolutionize the Swedish steel industry by developing advanced materials and production processes that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Education
I hold a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Hohai University, China, and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. My academic journey has been complemented by several honors, including a full scholarship and awards for outstanding projects.
Research Interests
My research focuses on developing sustainable materials and processes, with a keen interest in computational engineering. I have contributed to various projects, including studies on hydrogen storage and alloy design, which align with my commitment to advancing eco-friendly technologies.
Teaching and Publications
I've had the opportunity to assist in teaching and research at KNUST, where I supervised undergraduate projects and facilitated laboratory sessions. My work has been published in several journals, highlighting advancements in electrochemical energy storage and materials science.
Professional Involvement
I am actively involved in professional organizations such as the International Association of Engineers and the Ghana Institution of Engineering. These affiliations keep me connected with the broader engineering community and help me stay updated with industry advancements.
Personal Interests
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy drawing, sports and music, which provide a balance to my research-intensive work life.
