I am Professor of Reactor Technology and former Head of the Nuclear Reactor Technology division in the Physics department, school of Engineering Sciences. During 2012-2018 I was serving as Deputy Head of the Physics department and during 2008-2019 I was a Director of CEKERT (a forum for research and education in nuclear engineering at KTH). I am author and co-author of over 150 peer-reviewed journal and conference paper, several books, and recently, of a multilingual dictionary in nuclear reactor physics and engineering.
My main interest is in thermal-hydraulic aspects of nuclear installations and in particular, in measurement and computation of thermal safety margins in nuclear reactor cores. Measurements of thermal limits (so-called dryout and post-dryout heat transfer) are made in high-pressure water test loop at KTH.
Calculations are performed with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) codes using own-developed closure models.
