Joakim Da Silva
Post-doc working in the Physics of Medical Imaging group developing a spectral CT scanner prototype using a novel silicon-based photon-counting x-ray detector. My current project, EXCITING-CT, involves investigating the clinical potential of the lower radiation dose, material decomposition and improved spatial resolution offered by photon-counting CT, in particular for lung cancer screening applications. Funded by the EU though a Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.
