Om mig

Prospective Students

I am consistently looking for motivated Master’s students to join our team. If you are curious about Spatial Intelligence, Robotic Navigation and Geodesy, and are interested in exploring how AI and Machine Learning can be applied to physical-world challenges, feel free to contact me. We value students who are self-driven and eager to bridge the gap between academic research and practical technology.

About Me

Jingbin Liu am currently an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Built Environment, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where I lead the Group of Geodesy, Navigation and Perception (GNP).

My research explores the intersection of Geodesy, Navigation, and Perception, with a particular emphasis on how AI can enhance spatial awareness. Our work aims to provide technical solutions for infrastructure resilience and sustainable development.

The core areas of our research include:

  • Spatial AI for Positioning: Developing AI-based methods for robust indoor localization, serving both human users and autonomous machines in complex built environments.

  • Robotic Perception & Navigation: Using Deep Learning and multi-sensor fusion to improve how robots perceive and navigate their surroundings.

  • Geodesy & Spatial Intelligence: Integrating AI frameworks with geodetic principles to support the development of intelligent infrastructure and digital twins.

We value the practical impact of our work. Some of our research outcomes and algorithms have been successfully translated into industrial applications within the field of infrastructure monitoring and urban resilience.
