Johan Nilvebrant

I am a researcher (docent) in affinity protein engineering at the department of Protein Science at the CBH school. Our core technology is affibody affinity protein generation and engineering to support a multitude of collaborative projects in various areas in Sweden and abroad. These efforts span a range of application areas within basic research, structural biology, immunology, bacteriology, diagnostics and targeted therapeutics. 

My PhD was received in 2012 on work concerning engineering of affinity proteins based on non-immunoglobulin frameworks and in vitro selection systems. Following a postdoc on antibody libraries and phage display selection technologies at University of Toronto with Professor Sachdev Sidhu, I returned to KTH in 2016.

I am engaged in teaching as course responsible for Microbiology (year 1) and PhD courses Higher seminar in protein science and Methods in current research in medical biotechnology as well as guest lecturer on various courses.
