Simon Koplev is a SciLifeLab Fellow and Assistant Professor of Computational Biology at the Department of Gene Technology. He holds a PhD in Medical Science and postdoctoral experience from the University of Cambridge. He has 12 years of experience in academic bioinformatics research, having published papers in leading journals with more than 500 co-authors. Simon is an Associate Editor at Cardiovascular Diabetology and has done regular peer review for journals such as Nature, Science, Cell, Cancer Cell, and Circulation. He leads a computational biology research group investigating the fundamental principles and architecture of human tissues across organs in healthy steady-state and disease perturbations.
