About me

Evangelos Liakos is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree towards the snubberless soft-switching for resonant converters using SiC MOSFETs with the division of Electric Power and Energy Systems of KTH under the supervision of professor Hans-Peter Nee.

He was born in Athens, Greece in 1986. He received his Diploma degree of Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace (Xanthi's branch) in 2009 and his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Aalto University Executive Education (Helsinki, Finland) in 2018. From 2008 till 2018 he was working in Research and Development as well as in Product Engineering positions of ABB Drives in Turgi, Switzerland and Helsinki, Finland.

His research interests include SiC components, resonant converters, gate drivers for SiC MOSFETs and applications for WBG devices.
