Synthesis and applications of complex macromolecular architectures and nanocomposites, functional surfaces and (bio)fibre modifications
Dr Linda Fogelström received her PhD in Polymer Technology in 2010 from Fibre and Polymer Technology at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, under the supervision of Prof. Anders Hult. She currently works as scientific coordinator and supervisor in the group of Prof. Eva Malmström at the Division of Coating Technology, and her research focus is within the fields of synthesis and applications of complex macromolecular architectures and nanocomposites, functional surfaces, (bio)fibre modifications, and novel polymeric materials based on renewable resources.
A major part of Dr Fogelström’s time at KTH is devoted to the centre management of Wallenberg Wood Science Center, WWSC. The mission of WWSC is to create knowledge- and competence prerequisites for an innovative industrial value creation of forest raw material, in a centre where high class research is performed within the area new materials from trees. She is also involved in the management of Treesearch, the national collaboration platform for fundamental research, knowledge and competence building in the field of new materials and speciality chemicals from forest raw material. The platform is a collaboration between academia, industry, private foundations.
