Magnus Johansson

As a Quality Assurance Officer my main responsibility is to coordinate and support quality work at KTH and to ensure that KTH works according to the Swedish University act, The Higher education Ordinance and the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the Higher Education area (ESG).

My position involves supporting and guiding the development of a quality assurance system as well as the processes to achieve high quality research and education. Together with the Dean and Pro-dean at KTH I am responsible for the planning and development of the internal, on-going, monitoring of education and research that takes place every year at KTH. I also support the work developing the external, periodic, reviews of research and education that takes place continuously in a six-year cycle.

As a Quality Assurance Officer, I also support the five KTH schools when they are under external evaluation by the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ). I support the program management in their self-evaluation process and I coordinate all communication between KTH and UKÄ.
