Mattias Bystedt

I am on the last year of my doctoral education in speech technology here at Speech, Music and Hearing (TMH) at the Royal Institute of Technology. I am a linguist by trade. My expertise lies in psycholinguistics, reading research and second language acquisition. I currently work with writing scientific reviews within the project Gaze in Conversation together with TMH colleague and project manager Jens Edlund. 

My research contributes to ground research on gaze in multi-party conversation and the application of gaze and predictable gaze behaviours in speech and multimodal research. In 2018, I contributed to scientific work on social AI, as well. In the future I hope to further develop gaze methods as a paradigm in speech technology and language research and be a teacher.
