About me
Background:
BSc at Slovak Technical University in Bratislava - Geodesy, cartography and geoinformatics
MSc at Lund University - Geomatics
Research project (licentiate): SUM-Net (Sustainable urban mobility network)
Project objectives:
-
to design a spatial database of various data models (vector, raster and graph) in order to model urban infrastructure
-
to design models and algorithms for evaluation and optimization of intermodal routes to satisfy a variety of constraints
-
to implement the solution as a web/mobile app and test its performance
Research project (PhD): Stockholm EnviroNmental Zone digital Laboratory (SENZ-Lab)
Brief project summary:
The SENZ-Lab project is a multidisciplinary initiative focused on developing a cost-efficient, real-time system for urban traffic monitoring and environmental footprint assessment in Stockholm’s EZ3 area. It leverages sparse sensing, AI-driven modeling, and a GIS-based digital twin to enhance sustainable traffic management and reduce emissions by integrating diverse work packages—from sensor deployment (WP1) and simulation-driven modeling (WP2) to AI-based dynamic mapping (WP3). The project culminates in WP4, which involves creating a digital twin platform that visualizes traffic and environmental stressors for both citizens and urban planners, supporting what-if scenario analyses. https://www.digitalfutures.kth.se/project/senz-lab-stockholm-environmental-zone-digital-laboratory/
Doctoral project objectives (WP4):
-
Noise-Aware Routing: Develop dynamic, state-dependent routing algorithms to minimize noise exposure
-
Built Environment Analysis: Assess how urban features (e.g., vegetation, furniture, and structures) act as noise barriers.
-
Digital Twin Integration: Incorporate routing algorithms and environmental assessments into a GIS-based platform for real-time visualization and scenario analysis.
