I am a PhD Student working on multi-agent underwater mission planning and execution. I started my studies on Sept 1st, 2017 under the project SMaRC.
The underwater domain has some unique challenges, such as acoustic sensors and communications interfering, lack of cameras, lack of gps and only partially known dynamics. All these challenges make multi-agent missions doubly more challenging, as their interactions also come into play.
I am mostly interested in large area coverage missions and how to optimize for time and fuel. Since communication is very slow (bit per second, literally a million times slower than the slowest wi-fi) I am also intrested in distributed missing information consensus.
