About me
George is an EU Grants Project Manager with extensive expertise in EU projects and research funding, who supports organizations in transforming ideas into successful projects He currently works as an EU Grants Project Manager at the Research Support Office of KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, where he manages a diverse portfolio of EU-funded projects spanning all three pillars of Horizon Europe.
With nearly two decades of experience in EU-funded projects, George has been actively involved in conceptualizing, developing, and managing projects since 2003, working with funding programs such as Interreg, Alfa, Asia-Link, Youth in Action, Erasmus+ and National Strategic Reference Frameworks (NSRF). His guiding principle is:"Making ideas happen."
Since 2017, he has specialized in managing research grants, particularly within the European Union’s Framework Programmes (FP7, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe), as well as projects funded by NIH and Sida. George holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia, Greece, and a M.Sc. in Project Management from the University of Sunderland, UK, where his master’s dissertation focused on the critical success and failure factors in EU-financed projects.
