About me
Pavel Korzhavyi is a professor in Materials Technology, with expertise in modeling of disordered crystals and their thermodynamic and kinetic properties based on first principles of quantum mechanics. This theoretical modeling is applied to materials of industrial relevance, e.g. metals and ceramics at elevated temperatures. Information about completed and ongoing projects can be found on the website of the Unit of Properties.
Korzhavyi is the leader of the Generic ab-inito project within the Hero-m 2i competence center, financed jointly by the Sweden's innovation agency Vinnova, KTH, and Swedish industry. Korzhavyi is a member of the advisory editorial board of the Journal of Nuclear Materials and an editorial board member of the open access journal "Metals". Since 2018, Pavel Korzhavyi is KTH's official representative in the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) RawMaterials at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
