Note: the Agrégation is a highly selective French examination used to recruit some teachers, called professeurs agrégés. Students preparing for the Agrégation are 2nd year Masters students. It consists of two written exams (in the spring) followed by three oral exams (in the summer). In mathematics, there are about 400 agrégés per year.
