Roman de la Presilla Patiño

I'm a Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in Machine Design from KTH, currently working as a Researcher at System and Component Design in the field of lubrication technology and grease lubrication. My research is focused on developing and evaluating new lubricant architectures tailored for extreme conditions, such as oscillating rolling element bearings or spacecraft mechanisms. From using X-Rays and Neutrons in large scientific instrumets to probe the molecular structure of lubricants, up to testing them in real components using in-house developed testing rigs. My role also includes teaching activities in at the Master level courses on Tribology and Machine Dynamics.
