Om mig

I received BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Southeast University in 2004, and MSc and PhD in Engineering Mechanics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2007 and 2012, respectively. My doctoral research focused on quantifying the biomechanical consequences of gait impairments and foot and ankle deformities resulting from various musculoskeletal disorders and symptoms. As a postdoctoral researcher, I worked with the Paediatric Neurology group at Karolinska Institutet and the Computational Biology group at KTH, where the research centered on quantifying spasticity and secondary changes in muscle structure and properties associated with spasticity.

Currently, at the Department of Engineering Mechanics, KTH, my work focuses on developing experimental and computational methodologies to non-invasively estimate muscle neuromechanics. This includes investigating motor neuron firing behavior, force modulation, mechanical musculotendon parameters, and muscle stiffness, using an integrated approach combining medical imaging, musculoskeletal modeling, and optimization techniques. I am also interested in out-of-lab solutions for biomechanical analysis of movement, with potential applications in clinical assessment and biofeedback-based rehabilitation. I was awarded the title of Docent in Biomechanics in 2022 and is a member of the research team at the Promobilia MoveAbility Lab (Promobilia MoveAbility Lab) and affiliated with the Division of Paediatric Neurology, Karolinska Institutet

Office address: Osquars Backe 18, 4th floor.
