Hannas research focuses on "Prospective Life Cycle Assessment for bio-Carbon Capture and Utilization". Her research is part of the consortium ACCELERATE which aims to develop technology for converting CO₂ to chemical-pharmaceutical products. She is pursuing her PhD in the Department of Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, and Engineering (SEED), with Professor Anna Björklund as main supervisor.

Hanna has a bachelor from Industrial Economy, Logistics and Management at Jönköping University, and a masters from Industrial Ecology at Chalmers University.
