Autobiography (brief version)             

I was born a Sunday on the 7th of April 1963 in the north wing of Danderyds hospital. The very same day as Yugoslavia is proclaimed to be a socialistic republic. A few weeks earlier the Beatles just released their first album Please Please Me which would be their first step to eternity and a kick off for youth culture. Within six month Martin Luther King deliver his famous speech I have a dream on the steps of Lincoln Memorial and John F. Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas. The world was in a change, a change that just begun and would form a destiny I was send to fulfil ; )

Imaginary mind

When I was a child I often lived in daydreams. My fantasy took me on a mindexploring journey and still does actually. Quite irritating when you should be reading that dusty old book about signalprocessing and keep ending up in a colourful garden with Capricorns having their afternoon tea squabble about some silly old sofa. Nevertheless, it became very usefull when I got my two children and it was time for their bedtime stories. If my eyes was to tired to read I just opened up my mind and led them through amazing adventures just slightly different from the one I just left in the book. In the story of the three Billy Goats Gruff the troll became poor and lonely and just wanted someone to play with. To much surprice the troll was really funny and could do magic tricks, a new one every night. The problem started later in kindergarten when the teacher read the same story but with an evil troll.

  I might got this gift, if you can call it that, because of I was the only child in my family, no brothers and sisters to play with so I had a lot of time on my own. When I got older I found ways of using this capability in my creative work.

Animation

Animation derivated from the Latin word anima that is close to the concept of soul. Animation means giving soul to a not living object, a doll, drawing etc. This is in my oppinion the closest you can get to imagination. I just love animation, cell animation, clay animation, pixellation, you name it. In the early nineties I worked with colorizing drawings on an animated feature film called Donald Strap and the Frog Ball on dizzying adventures. I was really astonished of all the work there were to make an animated movie. This was an cellanimation and B.C (Before Computers) so every cell had to be drawn and colorized by hand. During this production I learned a lot about animation and animation technics. Just how you set lighting in an cellanimation. You don´t do it by different lights, you do it by using different hue and colors when you colorize it. Or how to work with perpective in a multiplane camera. Despite the fact that this is the only animation project I worked with I still use the knowledge I got from it in my lectures, Animation and the PHI effect.

Music

Music was an early interest and with many others I started in municipal music school at the age of seven. I worked my way up from the Recorder through Clarinet and Piano to end with classic guitar. But with the pop revolution around me I soon found out that an electric guitar attracts more girls so I started to play in a rockband. Writing songs came very natural to me. Short stories visualized by music. And it was much faster than animation, three cords, a cuple of sentences (that actually made no sense) and you´ve done. This was perfect for an ardent teenager as myself with lust for life. Now, a couple of records, concerts, tours and a lot of bands later, I realize that music is the thing in life that influenced me most. I´ve seen so many places, faces, met so many interesting and talanted people.

TV production

My interest in animation and motion pictures led me to Berghs school of communication and a program in scriptwriting. I´ve just completed an examina in Communication and Media, (where I made my first music video), and were ready for some more. Berghs was a fine breeding ground for creative youth and we got to know many people from the film industry. After some time at an advertising agency I started at Sonet, a TV production company. This was an industry with many projects going on. TV-programs, series and feature films.
