About me

Dr Veerababu Polisetti obtained his M. Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from Andhra University later he joined CSIR-CSMCRI as a research scholar where he developed new skills in the areas of pressure-driven membranes, gained expertise in phase inversion and interfacial polymerization techniques. He has developed several indigenous Ultrafiltration and Nanofiltration membranes made of Polysulfone, Polyvinylidene difluoride, Polyethersulfone, Polyacrylonitrile and blend polymers and studied their permeability, rejection and antifouling properties. He did his research on “Studies on the Development of High Flux Antifouling Nanofiltration Membranes” to pursue a PhD. He is the recipient of INDO-US the Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) prestigious Fellowship and worked at The University of Nebraska Lincoln, U.S.A, with Prof. Siamak Nejati.

He is currently a Knut and Alice Wallenberg Postdoctoral Fellow (since 2021) in the group of Prof. Mikael Hedenqvist at Wallenberg Wood Science Center/Dept. of Fibre and Polymer Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He is working on plant mimicking polyesters for developing sustainable packaging materials that can be potential substitutes for petroleum-based polymers.
