Xin Lu

Xin Lu received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from The University of Sydney, Australia, in 2024. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at The University of Sydney, focusing on optimal operation strategies for gigawatt-scale battery energy storage stations.

He is currently a Researcher in the Division of Electric Power and Energy Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, where his work centers on energy communities and virtual energy sharing.

In addition, his research interests include renewable energy integration, virtual power plants, and electricity market modelling.

He has published in leading journals such as Nature Reviews Electrical Engineering and IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. He received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad in 2024 and became a Senior Member of IEEE in 2025.
