Ylva Jansson

My research topic concerns, in a broader sense, how prior knowledge about the structure of the world can be represented and integrated into modern computer vision algorithms. More specifically, I’m working on developing and testing algorithms in the intersection between classical computer vision techniques (invariance, scale space, theoretically/mathematically derived models and feature extraction) and state-of-the art learning based approaches (deep learning, convolutional neural networks).
